Caesar 3 Windows 7 Won't Install

As the game progresses, new technologies become available,which you must allow for. (From description). I have this game (Caesar III) as well as 'Pharaoh'. These are two of my favorite games. When I tried to load Pharaoh onto my new laptop the other day, the disk would not download. The instruction box came on to my screen and I clicked on install, but nothing would happen. I am not sure if this is because it is an old game, and my Windows 7 computer will not recognize the program, or what the problem is.

But I would really love to be able to play both of these games again. I have plenty of available memory on my laptop, so that is not the problem. If you have any recommendations, I would really appreciate the help.Thanks so much!
